Shocking Six

Six is always a fun in cricket especially in IPL matches where six sixes are the favorite to the player as well as to the spectator.
But here six sixes is a different story....
2008.... January to July, the shocking six months.........and the shocking six news...

Crude prices going up... and up... and up.... not only that prices are surging but the country is also facing the fuel crisis. Now if you go to a petrol pump there is 50 % chance that you will get the fuel for your engine. what's the option ? Shall I take a bicycle??? Is it a hint that the life thousands of years ago is coming back again ?

IT services going slow.... and slow.... and slow... This is the area where we were on the transition of "developing" to "developed" nation. This is the area which contributes most to our GDP. The downsizing of the workforce is also an area of concern to the country where unemployment is a barricade to the development.

Inflation going up... and up... and up.... from a mere 5% at the start of the year to record high of about 12% in mid of the year. What is it's effect? when I asked to my married colleagues they told me that "apart from the rise in prices of the commodities, the shopkeepers are even charging for the polybags per commodities"!!!

Political stability is coming down...and down... and down...left withdrawing support and in the trust vote congress losing the credibility although it wins.

Then the serial bomb blast yesterday in bangalore. Not one not two but eight blasts at different places!! Although a very few casualties were reported but still people are shocked. Believe me I got more number of calls yesterday in the past few months. Friends, relatives, home... call from everywhere... but message is same, "R u ok and don't go anywhere"A friend of mine resides at one of the places where blast took place and he told that "bomb ke dher par baitha hu"...

Today again in the evening the news was more shocking.. This time it was in the beautiful city Ahmadabad and the number was double than what was yesterday here. Yes, Sixteen!! and all of them in the throng places. The actual scenario cannot be predicted but as per the news, it seems that effects are more devastating, if not exaggerated.

What's going on in the past six months in this country?

I guess no one has the answer but the silver lining in this gloomy situation is that people have "hope".
Hope that all the problems will be solved.
Hope that the life will be peaceful.
Hope that people will be happier.

"a positive hope" --this is where we are ahead of any country in the world... it worked in the past and will continue to be so..
I hope everything will be back to normal!!!

Channel change !!!

If u guys don't know then let me first tell u I have a TV in a corner of the hall... Most of the time idle. It gets jealous sometimes to my laptop (she now takes most of my time and win over my old friend TV...) suddenly I thought "What do I watch on TV?"

Channel 1: Set Max- Sometimes good movies come, but I don’t remember I ever completed one. Long ads>> Change…

Channel 2: Aaj Tak- It’s really terrible. Anything apart from news I can see here. The topics are being so elaborated that I used to forget the main topic. Only circular analysis is being done forgetting about the center of the circle. The dialogues are surprising: “agar chain se sona hai to jagte rahiyeeee”. Programs like dhongi babas, Kaal kapaal mahakaal ...huh>> Immediate channel change….

Channel 3: CNN-IBN Here I rely on some good news. The analysis on current issues and world affairs is deliberate and easily comprehensible. Especially in the debates, it goes to the crux of the situation to spread the message to the society. A socially responsible channel.

Channel 4: Sony- The boogie woogie show is great in weekends. I love the spirit in the contestants that comes out from the sense of competition.

Channel 5: Zee studio: I love this channel. The movies are gr8. The message of each movie is great and it’s something new to learn..

Channel 6: World movies: The movies from each part of the world… Spanish, German, Italian, Chinese… No, I don’t know these languages but thanks to the word written down the screen. The expression of each dialogue is different in movies of different countries, especially Spanish have their own different way of expressing romance…

Channel 7: Pogo- Mr Bean appears and I have no better reason to laugh with his wacky facial expressions without uttering a single word. Amazing!!!

Channel 8: Music channel: I am not bothered from which channel it is coming. As long as it’s a good song, I enjoy it, After that>> channel change.. Other song!!

Channel 9: Sports channel- If it’s live, it’s gr8 to watch else not much interested.

Channel 10: Nat Geo- The few programs are incredible to watch. On Monday, “The aircraft investigation” and other related sessions are a must watch. The simple analyses behind the complex technologies are something that I can’t resist to watch.

I hope after this much of word my TV got relief and now smiling :)

What’s next? The red button on the remote (It curses me for repetitive pressing!! tired and demands rest) and me back to work on my lappy!!!

"Excuses" and "Explanation"

A bit confused always about the two words written with the fifth letter "E"!!
Life is full of situations where we have to act..act smartly... perform better... improve daily..

Everyday life is full of interaction with people.
Return>>a ton of questions... in multiple disciplines... technical, personal, humorous blah blah blah... and it demands I have to think and reason it.. How can I do that?

Well there may be two choices I have: I can think of "excuses"... thousands of tons of them...
In lieu I can think of one best "Explanation"... one best!!
Several times such situation comes.. I take it. Sometimes It comes in advance "what I have to do"? Sometimes it comes later "what I did"? Excuses or explanation? No answer. Not before not later!! Sometimes later it comes "why do I worry" Situation is over...

Now what's the difference?

One involves emotions, quite defensive, guilty, a bit selfish too...

Other gives confidence, quite comprehensive and naturally convincing.

If someone doesn't understand there must have been something wrong with my words. I might have taken it in the direction of excuse. Once it got the way I might have searched for another excuse to support former and so on.. then into an emotional ocean... obviously not convincing...

Why? Because there is always only "one best explanation" to a situation.
Just to interpret a psychological research study It needs only innocence and a bit of knowledge to "explain", but to excuse, a lot of traits is to be mastered. That's why I guess it's simple!!! Try it...

The Rat Race^^^^^^^^@

Morning 7:30AM: The transfer of mind from unconscious world to conscious world. Yes from beautiful dreams to reality full of illusions. Yes you get it right: the alarm in my phone rings exactly on same time everyday!! at least something is punctual and perfectly doing it's job. I hate that ring especially on monday after two full free days of myself but I can't do anything :(....

Just the start of the RAT RACE^^^^^@

Morning 8:30 AM: By this time I am already out of my dreams and promising my mind to come back later spending a lot of time.. and believe me it's hard to convince her!! same as convincing an stubborn child to do your work with promise for few more chocolates next time. Now after lot of words and promises I finally get ready for the office.

This is the peak time for the rat race... Everybody riding on the two or four wheels wants to reach as soon as possible overtaking anything on the way. It's really irritating when traffic jam adds the flavor to the process of Chuha daur!! Phir v bhaag chuhe bhaag.....

Mornig 9:00 AM: Reaching to the office and thinking of getting some relief from the rat race just completed... but to my surprise again it's starting... some day you have to be a silent spectator and watch other's racing, sometime it comes to me... Whether it's a meeting, review or discussion. But this time thank god the rat race is of the brain!!!! at least some relief.

Well addition of flavors are here too!! guess what?? Right: the criticism and interference of few gr8 people into your work....It happens but cream of the milk is to avoid or ignore these sapidities. The more you involve, more is the chance to become a bureaucrat straying from the goal.

Noon 12:00: Again a rat race for the appetite. People rush like anything to quench their exhaustion of four and half hour rat race. So do I.. some food with a glass of mausammi or sugarcane juice and getting again ready for the rat race...

Evening 5:00 PM: Time to pack up after 5 hr since lunch. These 5 hrs are sometime hectic in the lab or in a testing or in front of PC.. Then again a rat race with two legs or four legs on the road. It takes some time to stabilise and realise that today's rat race is over :)

Evening 6:00 PM: At least some peace finally on reaching the quarters.. Sitting with newspaper or watching news again gives a final realisation that the rat race which I covered today was nothing in comparision to what 6 billion of the world are racing.... dreadly, brutal and violent for some...

Then comes the rat race for few personal committments untill sleeping time reaches....

And now it's time to keep my promise what I did to my mind in the morning.. and she also promises to take me for the next few hours hell out of this rat race into an exquisite and peaceful world of dreams.... And I always smile at her innocence.....
Having believed her, I hope to have a good experience finally before one more rat race begins!!!! Good night... :)=<

After a very long ........... time........

I guess reading the title u will look at the date of the post I published last.. Yes you looked at it right... It was last on 22nd june 2007..... huh...
After a very long time (about 5 days short of one year), I realised today that I have missed myself in that period....
Starting something after a long gap needs some reason.... Let me find some!!!

Why not start with answering a question "why should I start writing again?"
The life needs time to go on.. But time management is also as important as our other commitments are...and I guess I am not good at both....Need a lot to work on it....

Now coming back to the question one simple reason is that "there is always ample time to start anything we want" Time is not short but it's the forced thinking which makes time short for any activity... By forced I mean the circumstances that we ourself create for our desires....

Next>> Everyone feel good to write and recieve a comment... so do I... Thnx guys for encouraging me... It gives me a different angle to think about my thoughts and feelings...

I don't know much of it's benefit as my friends asked me several times "wht do u get out of writing all this?" nor do I want to know... but it's my wish to capture all the memorable moments of my life....

A silly but final reason may be I have my lappy with me just before going into the dream world...
The perfect time to write something!!!!
Hope to continue............@@@@@................
