Six is always a fun in cricket especially in IPL matches where six sixes are the favorite to the player as well as to the spectator.
But here six sixes is a different story....
2008.... January to July, the shocking six months.........and the shocking six news...
Crude prices going up... and up... and up.... not only that prices are surging but the country is also facing the fuel crisis. Now if you go to a petrol pump there is 50 % chance that you will get the fuel for your engine. what's the option ? Shall I take a bicycle??? Is it a hint that the life thousands of years ago is coming back again ?
IT services going slow.... and slow.... and slow... This is the area where we were on the transition of "developing" to "developed" nation. This is the area which contributes most to our GDP. The downsizing of the workforce is also an area of concern to the country where unemployment is a barricade to the development.
Inflation going up... and up... and up.... from a mere 5% at the start of the year to record high of about 12% in mid of the year. What is it's effect? when I asked to my married colleagues they told me that "apart from the rise in prices of the commodities, the shopkeepers are even charging for the polybags per commodities"!!!
Political stability is coming down...and down... and down...left withdrawing support and in the trust vote congress losing the credibility although it wins.
Then the serial bomb blast yesterday in bangalore. Not one not two but eight blasts at different places!! Although a very few casualties were reported but still people are shocked. Believe me I got more number of calls yesterday in the past few months. Friends, relatives, home... call from everywhere... but message is same, "R u ok and don't go anywhere"A friend of mine resides at one of the places where blast took place and he told that "bomb ke dher par baitha hu"...
Today again in the evening the news was more shocking.. This time it was in the beautiful city Ahmadabad and the number was double than what was yesterday here. Yes, Sixteen!! and all of them in the throng places. The actual scenario cannot be predicted but as per the news, it seems that effects are more devastating, if not exaggerated.
What's going on in the past six months in this country?
I guess no one has the answer but the silver lining in this gloomy situation is that people have "hope".
Hope that all the problems will be solved.
Hope that the life will be peaceful.
Hope that people will be happier.
"a positive hope" --this is where we are ahead of any country in the world... it worked in the past and will continue to be so..
I hope everything will be back to normal!!!
